Scone Power Supply Upgrades – ARTC

Client
Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC)
Location
Upper Hunter Region of New South Wales
Project Description
Australian Signal Infrastructure (ASI) successfully delivered the Scone Power Supply Upgrades project for the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) in the Upper Hunter region of New South Wales.

Scope
The project involved the construction, and commissioning of upgraded signalling power supplies across six location cases and the relay room, power room, including the design, supply, and installation of a new standby generator. The scope also included installation of new cable service routes, associated cables, civil works and compaction testing, upgrades to two level crossings and associated power arrangements, removal of life-expired UPS systems, and enhancement of the CCTV monitoring network.
ASI managed the project through all phases of delivery, including planning, construction, testing, commissioning, and handback. The works were successfully commissioned and handed back to ARTC within six months of contract award, demonstrating ASI's ability to deliver complex brownfield signalling and power infrastructure projects safely, efficiently, and
within demanding program constraints and fluctuating weather events.
